I must firstly apologize for comments against the score posted below. It is a shame that people do not diffentiate between Gibson and someone who works for him, in this case Debney.

Having seen the film, I can say that I didn't like it in the least and it will likely foment hatred worldwide, especially in Europe. Probably it's only redeamning factor was the score, which was probably one of the most powerful I have ever heard in my life. I have abundantly more respect for Debney now, since I never really bought into his music.

It is sad that you didn't like it. But we all can't like every movie. I saw the film on Friday and I am still recovering from it. The opening scene in the Garden of Gethsemane was absolutely chilling and breathtaking. Gibson was so focused on his vision of what the Passion COULD have been like, and his visuals are so spectacular, unless you have a bit of forknowledge of certain events you will miss it. I don't mean the story of Christ, I mean the visuals and those little details that left some braindead critics scratching their heads...like Philippe Antonello from Macleans Magazine. If there ever was a more ignorant critic than him, I'd like to see who.

I found the Passion a brilliant masterpiece, and those who do not understand the imagery in the film are doomed to miss it...that is why I have created (and am still working on) a page devoted to answering the most burning questions surrounding the film and debunking the critics who think that they know more than the rest of us.
