Re: Not all john's are maestro's No offense, but your post has no merit at all. How do you write a theme for the death of Christ? What would you call it? The "Death theme"? Debney's music was to evoke emotion, and it does just that. It is perfect. I would be disappointed if it were full of themes and melodies. This is a serious score to a serious film and requires a different breed of music than a bunch of themes and melodies. Personally, I think the score works perfectly.
