"All this stupidness [sic] about The Passion being against Jews" is because the "Jews killed Jesus" theory is what caused thousands of years of bloodshed and rampant anti-Semitism against Jews. Since there is a steadily growing anti-Semitic attitude in America and Europe, it just seemed insensitive for Mel Gibson to release a film depicting the Jews as Christ killers at this time.
