a Good Score to a Good film   Sunday, October 28, 2001 (3:04 p.m.)

yeah its a good score... i enjoyed it more in the film then i did on cd... whats intresting about all john william scores is that he always uses a particular technique for a particular movie. and it always works out very well. he always gets a nomination for his work. this score is simialar to Schindler's List and Seven Years in Tibet, in schindler williams uses a solo violin or piano to define the main theme, in seven years he uses the cello... and in the patriot he uses the violin again.

Although a very very good score i did'nt quite enjoy the main theme. it was a good theme but compared to Schindler's List and Seven Years... this one does not do as much. it works great in the film... no doubt... but on cd its more of an all American score... with 19th century miliatry style scoring... A good score... very good score, if not compared to Schindlers list and Seven years
