I have to agree fully with Alex, except for the part about "Gladiator" being stupid. I thought that was a nice score, and enjoy listening to it. However, no score has so swept me off my feet and moved me recently like "The Patriot". I have listened to it tons, and will listen to it tons more! It is such an excellent score, and a bona-fide contender for Best Movie Score in the next Acadamy Awards. Just when I had strayed from Williams, and gotten hooked on James Horner scores, this comes along and totally renews my interest in Williams. It has prompted me to buy a number of other Williams scores recently. I am glad as well that there are others who see this score as being a class almost untouchable. Long live "The Patriot" !
