I think Zimmer's music for Pearl Harbour is beautiful and maturely written. That is why I am intending to buy the soundtrack, but never, ever go see the film itself, because I know that seeing the shallow script, the boyish, crowd-pleasing Bruckheimeresque direction and the mainstream storyline will spoil the imaginative and emotional effect this album has. I urge others to do the same. this is excellent music for a bad film and is one of those rare soundtracks that is worth far more separately in its own right.
