I don't care if Mr. Horner rewrites his music and cues in films, if I had to pick a composer that pulls your emotions everytime, I'd pick him. The score for The Perfect Storm is amazing. It really taps into the emotions and fears of the six doomed men who went through and sadly lost their lives in the storm. Horner's main theme appears off the bat in the soundtrack. It is mello theme that really relates to the families of fishermen who have to wait for their loved ones to come home. The second theme is a heroic and well put together theme that reminds me of a acide prone version of Horner's Casper Lulaby theme is Casper. The action music is great and really works well in the film. The song sounds like they just tried to put words to Horner's themes, but screwed up doing so. My favorite track is "Rogue Wave." Starting out with action music and then going into the sad music of when the fisherman loose their lives. Horner turns his seconddary theme into a bold and heroic picture of the men's bravery even at the face of death. Aside from Glory, this is my favorite Horner score
