And not all of us Phantom fans love the movie. Indeed, many of us hate it, and find this review very perceptive (and no, we are not all Crawford fans).

The movie lacks all levels of depth which the stage show gives us, it entirely changes the characters, it is "Phantom Lite" made for an audience who require a "young and sexy" cast, and everything reduced to the level of a soap opera.
