*sigh* I'll be nice.   Monday, May 2, 2005 (10:47 p.m.)

I am very new to Phantom. I have seen the movie, and I have heard only the theme to the production by original cast. Of course back then, I always crooned along and never listened to the singers. I was three, hello! But, anyways, why does everyone put Butler down? I mean, I'm intelligent enough to see his um, disabilties *I can't spell for beans* , but at least someone who knew he was lacking in vocals took on such a, hard role to match up too. Assuming this Crawford I keep hearing about really was 'that amazing' I will say Butler probably was not the best choice. But in such a modern world, populated with sassy teens, we need dashing and popular actors to attract the people. I am musically inclined, and I know very much so what it is like to be discreminated against, and yet to be complimented. Why don't we stop the negativity towards Butler's voice, and focus more on the climax and what not of the plot and presentation. Was it that bad as well? I don't want to sound like a screechy little fangirl talking about ludicrous things. But I am simply using my freedom of speech. And for the record, I'm a 12 year old phan girl, and I ain't changing. I'm just not screechy. I hope my viewpoints are correct. I don't feel like being wrong. I'm normally not...
-Please don't hate on me... I'm fragil... X_X

go listen to crawford...its well worth the $40 for the soundtrack...not disagreeing with you but then maybe you'll understand all of the uproar about the phantom's casting. i'm not saying that i hated butler...but maybe someday you'll understand why so many people were so keen on getting michael hired...whether he's 63 or not.
