It's one of the most melodically-engaging themes I've heard in a while, and that alone makes the score a masterpiece in my book. The several variations of said theme are arranged superbly, my favorites being the "Showdown At Sea" cue on track seven's Barbossa Is Hungry (1:50), the tender-hearted "To Freedom, To The Black Pearl" cue on the beginning of track nine's Moonlight Serenade, and the "Final Showdown" cue on track 12's Bootstraps' Bootstraps (1:36).
