I just have to say that the score for Pirates, is, in short, ridiculous. There are absolutely no pirate elements in the score whatsoever, and I don't bloody care if Bruckheimer or Zimmer wanted a "contemporary" score. There is no excuse for this mess. People say "Badelt had only 30 days to do this, adn that!". Yeah, well, what about the other20 or so people working on the score? Honestly, the only people who like this score are either aurally incompetent, or teeny bopper girls who are obsessed with Johnny Depp. Might I add, the same girsl who when the film came out asked "What other movies is he in?". He's a very accomplished actor people, he didn't pop out overnight. Honestly, I feel sorry for poor Depp...
