Recording the Pirates Score

I would just like to add that, as someone who actually performed in the orchestra for Pirates (and happened to find this web page by accident), that not only was it recorded so last minute it had to be done in multiple studios (including Fox, Todd AO, and Warner Bros) -- but one week before it was to premiere at Disneyland, we still had more music to record, and were still recording! This is incredibly last minute, and while whether you like the score or not is a matter of personal taste, I was personally amazed at how a project this size with almost no time alloted to it after all the changes, managed to get done. The composers and orchestrators (and there were a bunch of them) managed it somehow, and were pleasant and upbeat during the sessions, even making jokes about the use of French Horns in Bruckheimer scores.
