IMHO (which may well be biased,so take it with a grain of salt), I think i's the best of all of the newly recorded TREK albums in the marktet in terms of Content.
Is every piece on par with the soundtrack recording, No.
Some do suffer when compared to the OST, (Mostly the Goldsmith Tracks), but then again they are far from awful either. The suite from TREK X is quite good and the TMP tracks are closer in spirit then the Kunzel Take on them.
The outstanding tracks (Such as the DS9 overture, Generations,TREK II & IV,etc..) more then make it worth having if your a fan looking for a compilation to toss into the car for a long trip.
I'm sure others will disagree, but that's the way I feel.
