I have no clue why I was on this section, but I was viewing the Phantom of the Opera section, untill this caught my eye. I've seen the previews and the movie, and both I give two-thumbs down! Now, the music gets stupider, and adds to the naieve plot of this entire film. A discrace and a big waste of money.
Post your comments if you dissagree, I will feel no offense.

Have you actually HEARD the score on CD, or are you assuming that because the film is a inane children's comedy the music will also be inane and childish?
If it's the former, then fair enough - an opinion is an opinion. If it's the latter, then I STRONGLY urge you to check out the score. It's a wonderful piece of rousing Americana, and much much better than the film it accompanies.

I'll say this, I saw "racing Stripes", and the movie was so idiotic and sappy that the sugary score seemed to hurt things more than help. I'd like to give it a second chance on album and take a good listen to it, because it's gotten rave reviews, but I really don't think it worked in the movie.
