Reason Main Theme isn't heard much . . .

The reviews for all 3 prequel films have all noted the lack of the main theme being present in the score. This is because it's Luke's Theme! Originally, the main theme was written for Luke, and what we now call the "Force Theme" was Obi-wan's theme. Williams says so in the jacket of the OT complete soundtracks. The lack of the main theme is essentially the lack of Luke in the films.
