Because he was part of the Nazi Youth and not by choice. If you were German and not affiliated with the Nazi party in any way you were killed. The new Pope's father was an avid anti-nazi and they did eventually flee the country. I do not agree with the original poster's tactic in outright lying, but do research your information before making a comment like that. It's as poor a choice as the original poster's.
