This question is eating me alive as well. The title of the track is "I'll Make It Up As I Go". It doesn't appear on the soundtrack and I can't find it on Diana Krall's discography. Please add me to your "informant" list...I'd like to know as well.

This may be completely wrong, but I wonder if that's the tune which Diana sang on the soundtrack of the Clint Eastwood film "True Crime" (1999). If so, I believe the tune was also written by Eastwood, wearing another of his many hats.

Nope - the song Diana sang for "True Crime" was "Why Should I Care?" "I'll Make It Up..." is from "The Score"
It was issued as a one-track cd for Oscar voters, for their consideration for an Academy Award. Other than that, there hasn't been an official release of the track.

Hi there,
I was running around like crazy asking all the Jazz pundits I know about the Cassandra Wilson tune, "You're About To Give In". Finally, I asked Blue Note Records via the Web, about the songs. They did what they always do when asked a question about anything - they take down your name and e-mail address and bombard you with bullcrap you don't want to buy and ignore your original inquiry.
The Jazz Dept. Manager at JR explained that these were songs composed solely for the film and he has no knowledge of them ever being released on any CD by Blue Note or Verve.
