Only Three Stars This Soundtrack is amazing!!!! It at least deserves 4 stars!!!! The whole soundtrack builds up to the last song!!! The Hand of Fate is what J.N.Howard is all about. If you listen to the soundtrack you will hear how much talent he has. Personally I'm a Hans Zimmer fan, and for me it's hard to buy any other soundtrack unless it's really good!! This is really good!! I give it *****

I agree, this is Howard's best score in a very long time, the first I've truly enjoyed since Waterworld (his "Mariner" theme is rousing). Tell me, does anyone else get chills during the symbol crash & orchestral swell at the last 2 minutes of Hand of Fate part 1? This is really beautiful work.

I do get chills I am also a Hans Zimmer fan, but James Newton Howard has now cemented himself in second place. Another track in addition to track 12 of signs that is great is Snow Falling on Cedars track 20. Enjoy

Indeed. "The Hand of Fate" is easily the best cue of 2002.
