Every body is saying that bernard herrmann is the ispiration for this score. I beg to differ. Might i suggest a listen to saint-saens "Danse Macabre". The out of tune violin From this score was obviously taken from that piece. However, the cello and brass works in "Signs" take some obvious reference to Herrmann's "Cape Fear". I wish more composers would copy his style. So dramatic!
