I think so because it features muted trumpets, the usual beautiful string play that can often be heard in Elfman albums and many interesting orchestral solutions. It also features classical guitars and percussion and pianos. The only letdown that the choir is not present here. There are dramatic cues such as the Sommersby Main Titles,Mortal Sin,Going To Nashville and Death and Finale.A high amount of sad music can also be found:Alone,Homer,Townsend' s Tale. There is a gentle and soft love theme:First Love, and as usual in Elfman albums,a couple of tracks which provide great fun:Return Montage,The Homecoming,Welcoming,Baby and Tea Cups.I admire this soundtrack is not writen in the usual Elfman composing styles that can be heard in Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorhands.Instead, here we can hear a new composing style from Elfman:and this new one is as great as the old ones.
