Name: Adam Ross

Sex: Male

Age: I'm now 17! I can now get into R movies by myself!

Birthday: Feb. 9th. in 1985. (Interestingly enough, John Williams birthday is on the 8th, and Jerry Goldsmith's is on the 10th. I'm bracketed by geniuses! )

Married: No. Darn...

Favorite Composer: Jerry Goldsmith. I don't know why, but there is not one score by him that I don't like. And if there is one, I haven't heard it yet. Number 2 on my list is Mister James Horner, and third is Mister John Williams. A few of composers who are fast going up on my favorite list are Don Davis and Mark Isham.

Oh, yeah, and Trevor Rabin is awesome, and I'm not afraid to admit it. I can't get enough of his scores, for some reason. The teenager within, or something like that.

Composers who I'm disappointed with: Eric Serra (with no exception whatsoever), Thomas Newman (with the exception of The Horse Whisperer).

Rarest score I own: Probably the Masada 2-CD set. Good stuff! I'd take a bullet for these discs. Well...not in the chest, but maybe in the arm or something...and not a real bullet, but I'd take a BB in the foot for it.

Interests: reading, writing, watching films, and making them. I'm going to be directing a VERY low-budget film in the spring of 2002 (hopefully..), and last, but not least, is Star Wars.

Star Wars: I think I need to take a moment and talk about this. There is nothing better than Star Wars. Not Lord of the Rings, and not Harry Potter. Nothing. Star Wars goes far beyond those. George Lucas is a genius. Oh, and about the can one not like them? Episodes I and II are just as good as the originals in every way. In terms of quality, they are all equal.

Scores I don't like: Labrynth. Dragonslayer. Anything by Eric Serra, Nixon, Cutthroat Island (just kidding ), I'm pretty open-minded about scores for the most part.

Favorite book genres: Science Fiction and Fantasy

Favorite Books:
Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix (and it isn't even out yet )
The Icarus Hunt
Any Star Wars book I can lay my hands on
Any Star Trek book I can find
The Demon Awakens
The Oath
A Walk to Remember

Odd things that I do all the time: Listen to scores while reading. Not many people do that as far as I know. Like, say I'm reading the novel Jurassic Park. I'll be listening to John Williams classics Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Don Davis' Jurassic Park III at the same time.

Jobs: I work as an official umpire down at the local little league. I also have a job at the Food Center, a small grocery store in my town.

Got me hooked on film music: The 13th Warrior.

First score ever purchased: The 13th Warrior in 2000.
