The score is not that good the second

In addition to thath I shall be more precise. Batle in the Mutara Nebula. Sounds great without the film. But what about the cue heared in the film? I think it doesn't fit at all.

There are other passages, as well.

What about the second integration of the Courage theme in the Main Titles? Doesn't that sound somehow wiered and not fitting at all?

I don't know, but the best Star Trek score was and remains TMP, if not for it's definate superior theme then for it's originality and masterfully fellows such as ST5, First Contact, Nemesis and by far the second best ST score Insurrection.

Horner's music was wrong for the film. Even if the approach to the score was diffrent, Goldsmith would have habdled it a lot better and his theme would have served better.
