Bootleg not complete... There are two versions |
Tuesday, November 13, 2001 (2:03 p.m.) |

First, the bootleg reviwed above is actually not complete, it's missing 3 small cues, most notably the one named "Showdown" and more importantly, the film version of "The Healing Process" (the music underscoring the final fight between Picard and Ru'afo) is also missing.
Secondly, the track titles of the tracks exclusice to the bootleg are differnt to those of the otherwise identical copy i have.
Several people i know have the Insurrection bootleg, and all have the same titles as my copy, even though they got it from other places.
Just so you'll know

Be aware, I'm currently in the process of downloading them, and some of the tracks with different titles (such as Data's New Friend and Data and Artim) are the same music.
So we have three different soundtracks, but a lot of the music is the same with different titles, not really different tracks. A lot of "The Launch Sequence" files out there are really just "The Healing Process". Seeing as how I can't find any to buy, I have to make the REAL COMPLETE soundtrack, not the Almost Complete soundtrack. :p

Alright, I did a little work and figured out the confusion with the titles. I may have missed a few, and there are very few I can't find to download to check, but here is a chunk:
"The Hidden Ship" is the same as "Holoship" and "A Few Loose Ends"
"Contemplation" is also "Regeneration" and "How Old Are You?"
"Unlikely Captors" is also "Meeting the Ba'ku"
"Ba'ku Village/Phaser Blast" is also "Main Title/Ba'ku (sometimes Ba'hu) Village", both at 6:51, and also POSSIBLY "Main Title/Into the Briar Patch"
"Lock and Load" is also "Picard's Plan" I believe.
"Prime Directive" is also "Admiral Dougherty" I believe.
"A Perfect Moment" is also "Living in a moment".
"Into the Caves" is also "Don't Let Go"
"Exodus" is also "Climbing"
"Data's new Friend" is also "Data and Artim"
"The Collector" is also "Deploy(ing) the Collector"
"Chasing Data" is probably the same track as "In Custody" or perhaps "Captain and Friend", I have yet to find "Chasing Data" to make sure.
Here's the "Complete" list that I've found so far, in relative chronological order:
"Main Title/Ba'ku Village (Alternate)
Captain and Friend
In Custody
Unlikely Captors
Children's Story
The Holoship
Regeneration
Picard and Anij
New Sight
Side Effects
Admiral Dougherty
Picard's Plan
Not Functioning
Exodus
Data's New Friend
A Perfect Moment
The Convoy
Childhood Discussions
The Drones Attack
Battle Stations
The Riker Maneuver
Into the Caves
The Same Race (I believe there are two versions of this, one is longer)
The Collector
Picard's Duty
No Threat
Countdown
Weapon Systems Offline
The Healing Process
End Credits
There are a few tracks I just can't find, they may be just another name for a listed track, or they may be new. Any help or corrections in my list would be welcome.
The tracks I have yet to check include: "The Launching Process", "Insurrection", "Warp Capability", "Dogfight", "Through the Briar Patch", "Ba'ku Planet", "Ru'afo's Threat", "Cave-In", and a so-called film version of "The Healing Process". All the ones I've heard are the exact same, so any help would be great.
I hope I made it a little easier for someone trying to figure out all the different soundtracks and why there are different titles.

Obviously, the original soundtrac released by GPN is the only one that's official.
All the other versions are bootlegs.
