I actually find Mandy Moore's vocals quite nice; however, I have absolutely no knowledge of musicals or theatre vocalization, and therefore I don't know exactly what is required for performers in that field. This is, however, coming from someone who generally does NOT prefer belt-it-out singing, which is why I find Moore's smoother, quieter choices to be refreshing. I guess that seems incredibly at odds when it comes to musicals, so I don't take issue with Clemmensen's criticism of Moore. Just offering another opinion.
