Why No Mention of UNCOMMON VALOR?

Nice review of both scores, but why no mention of UNCOMMON VALOR, as the main trumpet theme in IN COUNTRY is lifted, cord for cord, straight out of Horner's score for his 1983 Gene Hackman effort. It's not even a case of it being closely reminiscent of UNCOMMON VALOR, it IS the exact same theme, and not a variation. In both cases it works splendidly with the over all somber, but patriotic tone of the film, but as is the case with Horner, his reuse of material can test ones resolve for originality.

On another note: I've read many comments posted on here requesting reviews of new releases. This would be a great idea. It seems like it has been too many months since we've had any reviews of newer scores, so why not throw us a bone or two. I must admit, that while I enjoyed the this last review, as it is a unique and varied release, the majority of reviews to older score is a bit of a bore. Thanks
