So...I'm AhN. It's short for Archibald Heatherington Nastyface. That's not actually my name, of course. Keep up with my 90s British sitcom references.

I'm a nerd. About anything and almost everything. I can hold my own in a conversation about politics, sports, film, science, and in some areas of music. Speaking of which...

Muzak I likes:

Though I have mad respect for Bach (as a cellist, I really have no choice in the matter), I'm not a huge baroque era fan. I like some classical composers (I acknowledge Mozart must have been a genius, but I don't really like his music.), but the Romantic era is my bread and butter when it comes to "classical music." Beethoven, Schubert, Dvorak, Strauss, Sibelius, it's just a fantastic era of expressive music. I grew up on alternative and classic rock, so if you ever want to discuss rock, I'm your guy. I'm slowly gaining appreciation of jazz and rap.

Film music stuff!
First score I owned on CD: Star Wars Episode IV
First score I owned digitally: probably Fellowship of the Ring
Favorite score: I don't do favorites

Opinions on controversial subjects regarding film and film music:
I don't do half stars. Music I rate from 1 to 5, no halves, and film I rate from 1 to 4, with halves.
I believe that every composer has potential and should be given a chance. I believe Reznor and Ross have a masterpiece hiding in them that will blossom forth once Fincher picks a movie without such bleakly grating tones.
I'll add more later. (2020 me: he never will)

Also, if you want to contact me, this email address doesn't actually exist. Email "AhN and Callum Hofler" instead.

Wow, that kinda took a while to update. Guess I'll do it again in 4 years.
