The lack of Doyle's themes doesn't quite bother me as much as it probably should. I found many of Doyle's cues to lack acoustic depth in a lot of places, a sentiment I don't feel regarding Tyler's renditions. One of the aspects I was looking for in Tyler's music was a carryover of the "thumping" percussion that helped set "Thor" apart from other action movie scores, and Tyler did include that, whether as a nod to Doyle or because it's a sound that many a listener has associated with Viking-ish themes.
