Great soundtrack - but missing part of the music!   Saturday, July 27, 2002 (3:43 p.m.)

Hi! I have a question about the Time Machine soundtrack. I am looking for the specific music found on the DVD beginning at Chp. 9, 0hrs:43min:40sec. It is the same music which begins on the soundtrack CD 39 seconds into the cut Eloi (when the professor first sees the Eloi cliff homes) - only this time, it is done as a soft instrumental. The DVD scene is when the professor is climbing into the upper loft to talk with Mara. This musical part is really beautiful! Is this on the soundtrack? If not, it sure needs to be! I have listened to all the cuts on the soundtrack and I have not been able to find it.

Thanks,
C. Poole

A colleague of mine actually wrote to the music publishing company (Sarabande, or something?) to see if they could acquire that particular piece you're mentioning. I never heard anything else about it - but I dearly wish it would've been on the CD!
