Titanic - snippet not on 1st CD   Friday, September 12, 2003 (11:43 a.m.)

I have not listed to the "Back to Titanic" CD, but I do have the 1st score release ie "Titanic". When I listened to this I was rather disappointed that a tiny little segment of music which I really loved in the film was not on the CD. Realistically it should certainly have been included in the "Death of Titanic" track and possibly also "The Sinking". I think the snippet appears at least twice that I can think of namely : during standard shots of passengers panicking and running up the ship as it sinks and more specifically it plays as the dome over the grand staircase gives way and a huge torrent of water pours in. It might possibly appear when the ship splits in two - though I'm not 100% on that. Does anyone know if this "snippet" appears on "Back to Titanic" - possibly on "A mounting panic" ?? Many thanks.

Yes. You are right. Cue that you are looking for appears in "Back to Titanic" and track named as "A Building Panic" . I also disappointed with lack of this section on original CD.
But second disc provide some good performances and worth the purchase.

M new cue mix   Monday, September 15, 2003 (3:07 a.m.)

You can actually mix the second part of that big bombastic "there is no hope for those inside the ship" cue - take THE SINKING and mix it with A BUILDING PANIC there were the two cues sounds the same and cut them together then cut DEATH OF TITANIC into the mix (the same way as it starts in the film) and now you have a sinking-cue which run about 15 minuttes

questions...?? - then ask me...
