Starting off Big-Flick Summer Season a little early, U-571 delivered an old fashioned Saturday Matinee experience. Greatly contributing to that is Richard Marvin's spell-binding score.

This is easily one of the best to come out of a pretty good Summer crop of films and scores.

Agreed! Without a doubt, this will remain the #1 best film of the entire year. IMHO, of course. Looks like a couple more good movies are lined up for the year (THE GRINCH, SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE, MISS CONGENIALITY, and a couple more), but I'm already 100% convinced that not a single film released between now and the end of the year will be greated than U-571. Can't WAIT for the DVD!
