Ditched early for Cast Away?

In the review, it mentions that Zemekis and Silvestri had to break early from "What Lies Beneath" to work on "Cast Away". For what? There is only about 4 minutes worth of music in Cast Away and that doesn't come in until the movie is about 85% over. From there on out, it just repeats itself. That's why there is no actual soundtrack for Cast Away. What music there is, is put on a CD of other Silvesrti/Zemekis collaborations. They couldn't have spent that much time making the music. I'm not doubting the review, I'm just wondering what was the point of ditching What Lies Beneath if that's all they did? Everyone could see Cast Away that was going to be a much bigger movie, but if that's all they were going to do for it music wise, they should've spent more time on What Lies Beneath.
