I disagree with Filmtracks and think the second score has more individual great moments. It's nearly even though. I hope film score listeners realize how hard it is to do what John Powell has done with these musical adaptation scores. Filmtracks is totally correct about talking up the achievement. They used to give out Oscars for exactly this kind of adaptation score.
