I did like Kamen's work for X1 but Ottman completed outrun Kamen on all levels for X2. The new theme was much much better then the old one and the score was alot better on all of the emotional levels as well (for instance) "Kamen would have never been able to write a decent piece of music for Jean Grey's dismiss from X2" He is just not that sort of composer.

The Reason Kamen was fired was because his work on X1 sounded to much like a million other scores.
