died |

It was announced on November 8th that Basil Poledouris, enduring a lengthy battle with cancer,
has passed away. At the end of his lengthy and productive mainstream career, Poledouris' final
feature score came for the Chinese adventure film The Touch in 2002. He had made a
concert appearance in Spain as recently as several months ago, and was only 61 years old. You
can visit Filmtracks' Poledouris Tribute for
information about his career, or honor Poledouris' achievements and the influence his music
had on you at the Scoreboard.
