if you want a superior John Williams crossover score that connects the high-flying fantasy of
his early 1980's efforts with the more complex rhythms, instrumentation, and density of his
1990's scores.

Avoid it... |
on the lossy versions of the expanded 2013 album that, by their compressed nature, nullify the
benefits of the remastering of this classic, large-scale adventure and horror work.

seek an early glimpse at the composer's darker, folksy Western style in pristine digital
sound.

on that re-recording if you are a Goldsmith purist interested instead in a superior
presentation of the original recording on the Film Score Monthly product, regardless of how
badly aged the sound may be.

if you think it's great that the actor who plays Satan in "The Bible" looks like Barack Obama,
because you'll also probably excuse the fact that the score for this immense topic is cheaply
synthesized by a famous composer.

if you have no interest in hearing Hans Zimmer and his crew of ghostwriters piece together a
greatest hits collection from his past and render it in an inadequately electronic fashion.
