Name: Derek Hammeke

Location: Olathe, Kansas

Birthdate: April 6, 1983

The Early Years:

I always noticed the music in movies when I was little but

thought everybody did. The first time it hit me that I really

liked score music was when I saw the previews for Armageddon.

They had track 3 from the Rock and the Launch theme from its

own movie. So I started liking scores because of The Rock And

The Middle Years:

For a while I was very stuck on Hans Zimmer scores and loud

military based scores. The Rock, Crimson Tide, Armageddon,

Peacemaker, Speed.

The NOW Years:

I'm more open today. I love all types now, soft, electronic,

loud, all goes.

Score Stats:

Needs: Good Themes - It's the character of the movie.

Doesn't Need: Length - I would rather have a great great 30

minute score than an Ok 60 minute

-Thomas Newman - Sweet and Soft

-James Newton Howard - The Theme Maker

-John Williams - If Story is good, so is he

Middle Composers:

-Trevor Jones - Clear Vision

-Mark Mancina - Always Fun

-James Horner - When hot, it's for long time

Composers that
Showed Promise:

-Eric Serra - 1 or 2 good songs a CD

-Elliot Goldenthal - Good stuff, when he's working

-Trevor Rabin - 2 great scores, he needs more

Fav Game Music:

-Resident Evil 2 - Kind of a creepy Hans Zimmer

and best game theme ever.
