Saturday, 2 PM, CDT. Check your local time to make sure you show up correctly.
Actually, let me just tell you:
3 PM in the Eastern US/Canada
8 PM in Ireland/UK
9 PM in Germany
6 AM in eastern Australia
Noon in the West Coast US (this currently includes Arizona, people in Arizona)
1 PM in Alberta, people in Alberta.

Actually, I'm not sure who's still on daylight savings, who's off, and who just started. So look at the time this was posted, do the internal conversion you normally do from Filmtracks time, and subtract half an hour. That's when it starts.

Once again, I have a surprise planned for this one that's Halloween themed, which is why I'm not spilling which score we're listening to just yet. But it's going to be a blast. Hope to hear you there!

For the uninitiated: Discord is a group messaging app that has both text and voice chat functions. It was originally designed for gaming, but I've found it very useful for playing music and live discussion. How it works? We all join the voice channel (you have the option to mute yourself if you just want to listen/would rather use the text channel), I command a bot to play music for us, and I lead a discussion of the score (with some prepared notes) as we listen. Events usually last around two hours, and since people keep asking, it's audio-only, so don't fret if you're worried about other people seeing you or you seeing nudity.

To join the server, click the link above and create an account if you need to. Once you have joined, DM me (Vikram, aka sultanofnsark, aka AhN) to let me know who you are/how I know you. Let me emphasize this: If I don't know who you are you can only listen in! Lots of people have joined the server without verifying themselves to me, so they don't have access to the main text channel and can't speak in the voice channel. Once you're in the server, you can read the server rules in the new/lost members channel, check the #events channel for updates (and vote on what times work for you), the #main-chat channel for various discussions, and #live-discussion for discussion during the event.
