Tried listening to it again after reading the review and while I have warmed up to more sections of the score this time around, I still can't fully get invested in it. All the ingredients for a great score are there with West's orchestration, ethnic instrumentation and synth elements. I just wish I liked the main theme more than I do. I will admit this is a personal preference and may change over time. I used to have the same problem with Mychael and Jeff Dana's score for The Good Dinosaur and I love it now more than I did when it came out.
