I think the range of positive and negative responses in this thread and elsewhere is probably due to 1) the score being very restrained and offering almost no moments of release until the very end, which might make the Kingdom of Heaven comparisons feel misleading (although I think they are valid), and 2) the piecemeal nature of the album, with so many cues at 2 minutes or shorter.

Both of those factors typically also make me enjoy a score less (including past HGW scores), but for several reasons I think this one works well (at least as a standalone experience). There are some super interesting things happening throughout that apparently tie to the plot of the film, which I haven't seen yet. This interview with HGW gives helpful context:
