The official shortlist of the 15 scores vying for the Best Score Oscar has been released:

“Being the Ricardos,” Daniel Pemberton
“Candyman,” Robert AA Lowe
“Don’t Look Up,” Nicholas Britell
“Dune,” Hans Zimmer
“Encanto,” Germaine Franco
“The French Dispatch,” Alexandre Desplat
“The Green Knight,” Daniel Hart
“The Harder They Fall,” Jeymes Samuel
“King Richard,” Kris Bowers
“The Last Duel,” Harry Gregson Williams
“No Time to Die,” Hans Zimmer
“Parallel Mothers,” Alberto Iglesias
“The Power of the Dog,” Jonny Greenwood
“Spencer,” Jonny Greenwood
“The Tragedy of Macbeth,” Carter Burwell

I correctly predicted 12 of these the other day – decent percentage! I didn’t see Candyman or The Harder They Fall coming at all, but I did have Don’t Look Up on my ‘dark horse’ list.

I was hoping that both Last Night in Soho and Raya and the Last Dragon would get on the list, but nada. None of the Marvel films made it – Black Widow, Eterrnals, Shang-Chi, Spider-Man – which is surprising considering the level of excellence they all showed this year. So - what do you think will be the final five?
