I get all that too. Using a personal example, I reacted with disappointment when I heard Danny Elfman would be scoring Doctor Strange 2. Wasn't too fussed on Sam Raimi directing either. But it could all turn out great. I just didn't imply or outright state that Elfman stole the gig from Giacchino, or someone else, in expressing my disappointment. I confined my feeling of disappointment to what was, not what could have been.

Pondering that question, in isolation, isn't the problem. I've seen it couched in the Giacchino is taking all the good assignments rhetoric. With that as a starting point it clouds the mind to the other possibilities and breeds hostility.
