Hello friends!

With my “Star Wars” Odyssey now in the rear-view mirror, I can now announce my next two Odysseys.

First up, I’m doing a nice little palate cleanser. I’m going to revisit one of the most popular past Odysseys: The Reader Recommendation Odyssey.

What is that, you ask?

Well, I’m opening up the floor to you, dear reader. Recommend me a score (any score!) to cover in this Odyssey and I will happily track it down to cover it. Now comes the fun part: if I choose to cover your recommendation, you must agree to review a score of my choice on the Filmtracks Board.

In other words, I write something about a score you love, and you’ll write something about a score I love.

A few caveats:

- You cannot recommend a score I have previously covered in another Odyssey… unless it’s a Special or Expanded edition.
- The score has to be easily accessible on either Apple Music or YouTube.
- It needs to be done in good faith. Don’t pick a score you think I will actively hate just to punish me for loathing most of “The Madalorian.” Or whatever.

That said, the first ten responders to this post will have their chosen score covered. Looking forward to it!

This short Odyssey will give me time to track down the myriad of work from the next composer I’m covering. I’m ecstatic to announce that I’ll be diving into the work of:

Christopher Young

Yes, the master composer behind “Hellraiser,” “Drag Me to Hell,” “Spider-Man 3,” “Hard Rain” and “Murder in the First”! The fine folks on the Filmtracks Facebook Page overwhelmingly voted for Young, and I agree with their sentiment.

As always, thanks for reading, and the first ten responders below will have their score of choice included in my next Odyssey…
