It appears the clear-cutters complained to Kitsap County about the existence of these threads at Filmtracks. The county came looking for them specifically today but it seems they never found this forum. (It's always fascinating to me that people don't realize the Scoreboard is a semi-private forum, so it can't be found from searches externally or site-wide.)

I imagine the clear-cutters aren't thrilled about people from around the world submitting comments to our local county about the effects of climate change. That's a myopic viewpoint on their part, as every four acres converted from forest to agriculture harms the planet in sum. Frankly, if I were the county, I'd give even more careful consideration to a permit drawing such wide interest.

The irony here is that the majority of comments going to the county about this forest destruction are coming from the local community, including neighbors and climate activists. I just met another new direct neighbor of the clear-cutters this past week and she hates the deforestation and intended to tell the county so. The SouthworthForest.org site for this cause is still spreading around social media, so protesting these threads on Filmtracks is not a great use of time.

At any rate, the clear-cutters must not want your opinions heard. Don't let them silence you if you're on the fence about supporting us. Stella and I have always made our goals and intentions about this campaign clear at Filmtracks, on the community site, the GoFundMe page, and social media. We have no need to obfuscate like our adversaries.
