So last night I watched Fargo for the thousandth time and was immediately struck by Carter Burwellís opening title music. The main theme isnít ever really heard in that volume again but god itís glorious.

However, the rest of the score Iím not a massive fan of - fits the flick well, but apart from his primary theme I donít find much of it memorable, especially out of context. Yet the main title cue is among my favourites of the 90ís.

So the query goes - what scores can you think of that opened like gangsbusters with an amazing main theme, but then the rest just didnít add up to much?
