Finally gave JNHs third "Fantastic Beasts"-Score a go and... I dunno, I barely remember anything from it except the tiny handful of obvious statements of older Themes. I *know* there is a lot going on in this Score, I could plainly hear that there were many thematic statements, there were obvious (and mostentimes very beautiful) highlights, some very solid Action-Cues and even the non-highlight-stuff was an easy listen. There was NO bad or even "mediocre" minute in this Score... and yet, it was kinda in one year, out the other for me. It lacked the obvious masterstroke-cues the previous two had. As it stands, I got the impression of a collection of filler-cues and secondary highlights, a playlist someone removed the best Cues from. Maybe I'm being unfair or maybe I just had too much on my mind lately...
