Listen to every score at double speed for the next week?
or
Listen to every score at half speed?
and why? What scores would you listen to?
Personally I think double speed would be pretty fun to listen to with slower scores, but it would be a lot to handle on scores that are already chalk full of 16th notes.

Double speed on a number of late period Barry scores would probably be normal speed for everyone else.

Okay so this is actually something I occasionally do (combined with Audiosurf, it's a fun trip). It definitely depends on the score, though. Solo at double speed would be an information overload; Solo at half speed, on the other hand, actually helps me to get a handle on the intricacies of a dense action cue like "Corellia Chase" or "Into the Maw". The alternate "Burly Brawl" from The Matrix Reloaded is another really fun one to slow down as it's barely comprehensible at normal speed anyway lol (in the most glorious sense). But I'd do select cues, not an entire score.
Double speed is something I occasionally do with an entire score (again, in Audiosurf - I edit it into one long track) to kind of get a feel for the overall arc of the thing. But for listening for an entire week I'd probably find that less enjoyable than half speed unless I limited myself to John Barry or something. actually most John Barry music would probably be unironically improved by being played at double speed but the film score community ain't ready for that conversation

I feel like this is payback for my Empire trolling.

Half speed, no contest. Most music slowed down at least gets you something more ambient that might even be enjoyable, while sped-up music would be goofy at best and more likely insufferable.

I think... half speed would be my answer. Being able to more fully grasp the instrumental and thematic intricacies is more my style.

I'm with you... half speed all the way !! It lets us grasp the music so beautifully

Either one would be a nightmare, Slow would sound drunken, double speed would sound hypercaffeinated.

I don’t do it with music, because it just makes the music sound too weird to me. I find it more useful when watching films. Double-speed if I’m getting bored with the film either to get it over with or to make it more entertaining. Half-speed or slower for other reasons.

Ok, so if you are analysing them you might do half speed, but otherwise why would you ruin perfectly good music either way?
