Did anyone know about this / post this ages ago? Article makes it sound like it was a big secret until a Star Wars unveil yesterday but maybe I just missed the discussion on itX

Yup, I remember getting hyped about it before I knew Holt was doing Kenobi.

The crazier thing is that Disney+ is treating this like a network television show - TWENTY FOUR EPISODES!

Oh joy. We're going for one of those Outlander Season 1 Part 1 situations.

Meanwhile, Netflix’s Disenchantment (or any series they want to keep costs down on) has been going on for four years, but officially has only two seasons (each season being split into two parts, with each part getting a whole year to itself).

Yeah there was a short thread on it in February
https://www.filmtracks.com/scoreboard/forum.cgi?read=105791&expand=1

Still pretty excited for that. But as Jon said, shocked they're doing like an old school, 20+ episode season of it.

The line about Britell and his wife loving Michael Clayton made me laugh.

This quote is interesting "Certainly nothing that I’ve done is near what this is." Could really mean anything considering the breadth of Britell's work up to this point.
