I heard it last night, and relistened again just to be sure with my opinion. If I was not aware that Pemberton scored it, would have passed it as a new minimalistic indie composer’s work (which it embraces to be, if I am not wrong). Like you said there are some passages that remond me of Steve Jobs but there is no single stand-out cue for me, and it was bit hard for me to get through the entire score without a mild headache due to the way some instruments are amped.

But not a bad score rather an interesting one, have to watch the movie and give it a listen again to get the context, maybe that would justify the musical choices.
