I have not watched the show yet. I've read many of the trade paperbacks of the source material.

And I'm a third of the way into the score.

I would say it's good, mature, atmospheric but never boring, at times epic. I can't say that anything really stands out so far. It's mostly long chord progressions. It's good and subtle but not remarkable (yet).
