I am quite certain, Chris, that if I were to create a deviant alias at this site, it would be far more interesting than Dietrich.

What I want to know is this: how exactly did this term "Grand Ayatollah Clemmensen" come about? Did I do or say something to inspire this phrase?

Speaking of the Grand Ayatollah, have you ever read the laws that Khomeini actually created for the benefit of Iranian culture in the 80's? For instance, there was the Chicken Law...

The Chicken Law: it is perfectly legal for the male head of the household to have sexual intercourse with a chicken. But, when the chicken is later slaughtered for food, it is prohibited for that man, his family, or his neighbors to eat that chicken. It is legal, however, for the family on the other side of your neighbors (and anyone residing further away) to consume that chicken.

Off topic, but an important piece of Islamic history nonetheless...
